For the ocasion of BDMG Cultural`s 30th birthdate I was invited to do a performance during the opening of the retrospective exibit. One of my works that s called Au is part of the institution colletction. The image of this work was printed on thousands of the celebration catalogues. As I like to work with continuation, I decided to mumify the work by envolving it on a white cotton fabric. This procedure, however, brings ambiguity to the piece because  mummification was done to preserve corpses and here is being brought as a factor of change and renewal. The ideia, among others, was to bring up the meaning of change and transformation wich is the law of the universe.  I wanted to bring to discussion where does art really live, witch I think is not on the images but under our cells, printed invisible sensitive marks. Making the way back to white, i propose that all things are allways in the beggining, even when images do not actualy change because they are put into a frame with glass, it is changing since the future changes the way we look at the past in the present. In the begining of this performance I danced very very slowly with a white veil, making silence, making myself realy present for the act and sharing this with everybody there, everybody is very loud in the political moment we are going through in Brazil right now, so in a political sense this performance approaches what we need to be able to see what going on beyond left and right, and all the noise produced by fake news, gossip, social midia that are distracting us from seeing and discussing what is really importante, for that we need to make a pause, we need silence, we need to decelarate.

Para a ocasião do 30º aniversário do BDMG Cultural, fui convidada a fazer uma apresentação durante a abertura da exposição retrospectiva. Um dos meus trabalhos de pintura Au compõe o acervo da instituição. A imagem deste trabalho foi impressa em milhares de catálogos de celebração. Como gosto de trabalhar com continuação, resolvi mumificar o trabalho envolvendo-o em um tecido de algodão branco. A ideia, entre outras, era trazer o significado de mudança e transformação que é a lei do universo. Este procedimento, no entanto, traz ambiguidade na medida em que a mumificação era feita para preservar cadáveres e aqui esta sendo trazida como fator de mudança e renovação. Também queria trazer à discussão onde é que a arte realmente vive, o que acho que não está nas imagens, mas sim nas nossas células, marcas sensíveis invisíveis impressas. Ao fazer o caminho de volta ao branco, proponho que todas as coisas estão sempre no início, mesmo quando as imagens não mudam porque são colocadas em um quadro com vidro, está mudando, pois o futuro muda a maneira como olhamos para o passado o presente. No começo dessa performance eu dancei muito devagar com um véu branco, fazendo silêncio, me fazendo realmente presente para o ato e compartilhando isso com todo mundo lá, todo mundo é muito barulhento no momento político que estamos passando no Brasil agora, Então, em um sentido político, essa performance se aproxima do que precisamos para ver o que acontece além da esquerda e da direita, e todo o barulho produzido por notícias falsas, fofocas, mídias sociais que nos distraem de ver e discutir o que é realmente importante. para isso precisamos fazer uma pausa, precisamos de silêncio, precisamos desacelar.
